The ESP32-C6 IoT & Connected Systems course introduces complete beginners to microcontrollers, basic electronics, physical computing and connected embedded systems using the ESP32-C6 development board.
The programme begins with fundamental concepts such as inputs, outputs, breadboards and simple circuits, before progressing to sensors, Wi-Fi, web-based monitoring and control, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and introductory Internet of Things (IoT) and MQTT concepts.
This 15-hour beginner course provides a practical introduction to microcontrollers and connected systems using the ESP32-C6. No previous programming, electronics or microcontroller experience is required.
Learners develop hands-on skills by building and testing simple electronic circuits, using digital and analogue inputs and outputs, working with sensors, and connecting the ESP32-C6 wirelessly. Later sessions introduce Wi-Fi, embedded web servers, browser-based control, BLE and IoT/MQTT through guided practical activities.
Programming is introduced at a basic level. The lecturer provides the main source code and starter sketches, while students learn to upload, test and make small guided modifications to understand how the software controls the hardware and connectivity.
